Credit Bureau Reporting and Corrections Manager

General Description:
Provides leadership and is directly responsible for the management of Credit Reporting and Correction Unit within the Research Department. Lead and mentor the staff to work effectively and follow credit reporting operational and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities - Include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with department management to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate goals, budget, and activities of assigned departmental unit.
- Guide a team to research, analyze, and decipher corrections to borrowers’ credit reports, which may result from a task or direct dispute.
- Familiarity of eOSCAR and corresponding credit bureau resources to guide needed corrections and/or respond to borrower or client requests across various DMI departments.
- ·Act as a liaison between credit bureaus, borrowers, clients, and other applicable entities to ensure timely resolution of credit corrections and appropriate organizational response.
- Drive daily/weekly/quarterly unit production goals and quality assurance.
- Oversee audits of newly boarded loans from Transfers and Conversions Department to ensure data was loaded accurately per Credit Reporting Agency guidelines.
- Coordinate with Transfers and Conversions Department to ensure proper reporting for all loans transferring between Clients monthly.
- Manage daily audits for accuracy and correct discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain currency on regulations and trends concerning the credit reporting industry.
- Train and mentor team leaders and junior staff.
- Actively participate in identifying process improvement opportunities within the department.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Manage special projects from clients to ensure their loans adhere to Credit Reporting Agency guidelines.
- Develop and implement appropriate measurements and controls to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies.
- Maintain departmental staffing and productivity standards within allocated budgets and resources.
- Participate in interview and selection processes with supervisory and higher job positions.
- Make recommendations in hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of department staff within the guidelines of budget and communicated procedures for such change of status events.
- Approve timely and accurate responses to all internal and external audits, compliance reviews, requests for information, etc., ensuring information is provided in accordance with organizational policy and standards as well as regulatory requirements.
- Consistently demonstrate an ability to strategize and problem-solve when challenges arise.
- Prepare and submit departmental reports as requested.
Department-Specific Duties:
- Represent department at meetings, events, and other internal and external opportunities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, members of the general public, and other third parties, representing the organization in accordance with its codes of conduct and ethics.
- Monitor and stay current in mortgage servicing matters as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
- Maintain high levels of cooperation and rapport with team members to promote accurate and efficient operations and service; maintain visible presence throughout the department.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years’ experience in mortgage servicing
- 5 years’ experience with a National Credit Reporting Agency or Credit aggregator preferred.
- 3 years of management and operations experience
- Strong knowledge of mortgage compliance and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Solid PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple and changing priorities
- Ability to motivate others and serve as a role model for organizational and departmental initiatives, procedures, and values
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with always demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences
- The ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
- Preferred/Other Qualifications: Knowledge of mortgage servicing software and platforms
- Working knowledge of eOSCAR
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee may occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate and typical of an office environment. The employee may be required to use a variety of standard office equipment, including computer keyboards and monitors, phones, printers, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
