Job Title : Welder II
Location : South Chesterfield, VA
What we are looking for :
We are looking for a Welder who will be responsible for spot welding shelves to be used in the assembly process.
What you will be responsible for in this role :
- Operate resistance welder, spot welder, robotic welder, MIG and / or TIG welding.
- Basic understanding of spot welding, computer programs for setup of machine and tips used to spot weld.
- Previous Buffing experience required.
- Identify proper tools for spot welding fixtures on shelves. (Stainless to GU)
- Ability to read and comprehend all work orders and blueprints.
- Perform preventative maintenance on spot weld machines.
- Ability to communicate status of assigned projects to supervisors.
What are the basic qualifications?
- HS Diploma / GED
- Previous welding experience is preferred.
- Must be able to operate power tools and perform tasks that require fine motor skills (ex : threading nuts onto bolts, starting a screw, etc.)
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs.).
- Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
