What is a Quality Control Inspector - Remanufacturing
The quality control inspector conducts origination inspection of incoming parts and supplies used for manufacture and remanufacture of products. The inspector will monitor products and processes to determine if they meet and/or exceed the standards set by API, ISO, and Downing Wellhead.

In this role, you will:

·         Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, oscilloscope, and vision prior to shipment

·         Generate spreadsheets for data collection

·         Inspect, sign and date Manufacturing or Repair sheets for satisfactory inspection, examination and tests and document the results of inspections and examinations in reports

·         Reconcile, inspect, sign and date shipments and sales orders for accuracy and quality prior to them leaving the facility

·         Test incoming materials as needed

·         Complete all required safety training and follow all company safety protocols

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Required and Preferred Abilities:

·         Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

·         Write routine reports and correspondence

·         Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals

·         Common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

·         Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

·         Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, noise level in the work environment can be loud

·         Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

·         Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Education and Experience

·         HS Diploma or equivalent

·         3-6 months of related experience

·         Knowledge of API and ISO standards
