Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for providing superior value, while producing quality products that satisfy the needs and expectations of our customer base and other interested parties.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this job
- Interpret internal job packet instructions
- Mechanical set-up of cutter machines
- Loading and unloading of materials at the machine
- Operating computer set-up of cutters (2 different type of cutters)
- Inspection of documents sorted by cutting needs
- Maintain quality standards based on the company’s Quality Management System
- All other duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
- Ability to read small print
- Ability to read, write and interpret the English language (customer data, instructions, manuals and procedures)
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to understand and interpret instructions, oral or written
- Ability to pass in-house certification training for the operation of the equipment annually.
Education and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use both hands and fingers to handle loading, unloading, use of both feet to work machine based foot pedals and operating of the equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision (ability to read small print), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to the following:
- Moving Mechanical Parts
- Cleaning fluids & solvents
- Oil for lubrication of machine
- Paper dust
- Moderate to high noise level which may require hearing protection
