Job Description:
As the Director of Client Services at DOYLE, your primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless execution of auction day activities, creating an outstanding experience for every DOYLE client. You will oversee various departments, manage a team, and handle client interactions. In addition to your managerial role, you will actively participate in auction proceedings, assisting bidders and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate auction day set-up and activities
- Ensure an excellent experience for every client
- Supervise Client Services at the front desk, including the main switchboard
- Identify and cater to current and future VIP clients, providing special attention and service
- Manage the Exhibition Staff and additional part-time hires
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues for clients
- Manage all general platform messages from Live Auctioneers and Invaluable
- Approve pending bidders on third-party platforms
- Clerk auctions and assist telephone bidders during live auctions
- Distribute Auctioneer's Book pages and assist specialists with client inquiries
- Handle photo and measurement requests for DOYLE at Home, including photography and image distribution
- Assist clients with their online accounts
- Oversee and manage the Client Services team, including the Bids Manager, and Bid Clerks on the online bidding platform
- Collaborate with Marketing to design and implement initiatives for client engagement
- Work with Bids and Client Accounts in all aspects of the auction process
- Supervise all front desk activities, including the main switchboard
- Recruit and schedule Exhibition Staff
Requirements:
- Experience in a managerial role or high-level customer service role
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- College graduate, preferably with a focus on the arts
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and database programs
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
