Job Description
- PURPOSE OF JOB :
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive, screen ,process and oversee completion all Medical Staff/Advanced Practice Professional's initial and reappointment applications.
- Coordination of Medical Staff office functions to insure the efficient operation of the Medical Staff Services Department .
- Support the functions of the Medical Staff by recording, transcribing and follow-up of meeting activities.
- Coordinate with Marketing Department on Website maintenance of provider profiles
- Maintain positive rapport with physicians and respond efficiently to their requests.
- Education:
- High School diploma with additional business/medical secretarial training preferred;
- CPCS certification attained within 2 years of eligibility
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in physician credentialing process preferred
- Experience in Administrative Assistant office functions.
- Other Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Familiar with Credentialing software products
- Organizational and problem solving skills
- Data entry/database management
