This position is responsible for overseeing the financial process of over 70 unique residential and commercial properties including monitoring and evaluating day-to-day financial transactions related to properties, investments and operations.

The Job Duties
- Performs daily operations of the accounting function, including accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Allocate invoices to correct building, landlord or tenant; perform weekly client billings and manage accounts receivable for timely collections
- Manage the daily banking and cash management requirements
- Assist in creating and maintaining budgets for real estate projects and portfolios
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Restructure and improve any pre-existing internal financial and administrative processes
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and production of financial reports
- Gain a deep understanding of Company operations/strategy to regularly provide additional value
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with third party support
- Support senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
Our Requirements
- Associates Degree or above in related field preferred; minimum two years’ experience in a real estate accounting or bookkeeping position
- Yardi experience a major plus!
- Advanced in Excel a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including proofreading
- A self-starter able to develop, document, and implement new processes
- Work with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills
- Capacity to manage and adapt to changing priorities
- Problem assessment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collectively with others to complete projects
