Career opportunity for a Financial Analyst for a well-established company in Concord, NC.
The Financial Analyst will perform a variety of analytical functions assessing data and process. This position will provide cross-functional support of several subsidiary accounting functions including strategy, budgeting, cost accounting, and financial accounting. The ability to work both independently and as a business partner within accounting and other departments is necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Budgeting, planning, forecasting, analysis, as well as financial stewardship and counsel.
- Month end close including posting journal entries and performing reconciliations.
- Presenting and clearly articulating the financial results of the business, as well as provide variance commentaries to business partners.
- Develop models / tools for early identification of financial trends and drivers for use across product segments. Make recommendations for issue resolution; maintain and improve current financial models.
- Collaborate with business areas to develop operational and financial health metrics and measures.
- Incorporation of productivity and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure long- term success
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of financial planning and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
Desired Skills:
- Solid knowledge around compliance to GAAP and accrual accounting is required.
- Strong experience in SAP (COPA/FI/MM) a great plus
- Must be able to work independently, as well as, in a collaborative team environment.
- Extensive experience in the use of MS Excel and/or other financial analysis tools.
- Deep understanding of financial statements with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information.
- Superior skills to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
- Critical thinker and self-starter who is willing to work proactively to identify key business priorities and work across teams to implement the necessary solutions.
