What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Specialist position at DR Bank?
The Consumer Loan Specialist is responsible for a variety of functions related to the department from booking new loans, maintaining them in the core processing system to the processing of the payoffs and charge-offs.
Loan Servicing Responsibilities:
• Processes payments, transfer requests, payoffs and charge offs
• Assist with daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations and reporting
• Performs necessary tasks related to Investor, Credit Bureau and Audit reporting
• Performs necessary tasks related to bankruptcy including tracking and regular review
• Performs necessary tasks related to student loans serviced by other institutions
• Performs quality control of various functions. as assigned
• Performs necessary tasks related to real estate taxes, various mortgage and property insurances
• Answer customer’s inquiries
• Must complete BSA, AML, and other Regulatory and Continuing Education as assigned
• Must adhere to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position
• Performs additional duties, as requested
General Qualifications:
•Attention to Detail
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of consumer loans and associated processing requirements
•Experience and comfortability reviewing loan documentation
•Capable of calculating interest and performing basic accounting functions.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required
• 2 Years College and/or 3 years of equivalent work experience
*Prior student loan experience is PLUS!
