Administrative Assistant/ Intake coordinator
We are seeking a full-time administrative assistant/ intake coordinator for our busy psychology practice located in center city Philadelphia.
The person in this position is the first point of contact for our patients, so a warm demeanor and strong communication skills are essential.
The duties of the administrative assistant/ intake coordinator include:
· Verifying insurance benefits
· Scheduling patient appointments
· Responding to patient requests via email and phone
· Supporting the 23 clinicians in the practice
· Assisting the billing specialist with medical billing
· Filing, scanning, and other maintenance of medical records
An ability to multi-task is essential for this position, as is the capacity to pleasantly interact with all colleagues and patients. The administrative assistant/intake coordinator will be working closely as part of a four person administrative team and will need to work collaboratively with the other team members. Preference will be given to those who have experience with insurance verification and patient scheduling, particularly if they have done this kind of work in a mental health setting.
