The holder of the position is responsible for proper and continuous baking processes, key aspects on machine availability and short changeover times. Responsible for following food safety, quality, government regulations, and SQF Guidelines and reporting deviations to key authorized personnel.
Bakery Operator - Overnight
Individual tasks
Operate machinery within assigned station within the bakery.
Prepare or monitor product based on company specifications
Monitor process to ensure meets food safety and quality standards
Maintain records for oven or active machine in operation in compliance with Quality Program
Set up/take down of machinery based on scheduled production product when necessary.
Perform or assist with time critical changeovers and set up procedures of machines, preparation and changeover of hardware and material.
Perform first level resolution of any errors/problems identified and inform technician on duty or production supervisor in case of deviations.
Report any deviation of product specifications and product safety hazard to supervisor or responsible party.
Assist technician as needed during standard operations and troubleshooting (e,g, cleaning, dismantling of machinery, mixers, trays or oven components)
Observe the indicated quality standards and production parameters in the individual process steps as specified
Cooperate with QA and R & D departments for deviations of tests.
Correct separation of waste according to waste control
Participate in cleaning area and machinery during shift, shut-downs, and start-ups.
Support department as needed to cover for breaks
Observance of hygiene, HACCP, allergen, glass and blade management
Observance of Safety Guidelines, Hygiene Guidelines, Internal Work Rules and Emergency and Evacuation Plan for Swedesboro Plant for employees in the facility.
All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Stand/Walk for up to 12 hours
Push/Pull up to 35 lbs.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Bend, crouch, reach as needed
Walk up/down stairs
Use hands to push, pull, install or dismantle equipment.
