Goals and KPIs
Establish an authentic voice that connects with fans across sports betting, fantasy sports, igaming and NFTs/web 3.
Lead seamless internal cross-functional collaboration to achieve engagement, impressions, follower growth and SOV goals
WHAT YOU’LL DO AS AN SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR
Build, lead, and oversee the Organic Social Marketing team and all social media platforms: Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
Collaborate cross functionally to drive content strategy, analyze results, identify opportunities and to optimize the creative output
Partner with internal teams to develop strategy in support of promotions, influencers, and key partners that will maximize distribution of content and meet or exceed key KPIs
Drive thought leadership around content development, engagement practices, and reporting as it relates to evolving social landscape
Establish and maintain benchmarks for social performance and community growth
Keep up with the latest industry trends, strategies, channel offerings and technologies in service of cultivating new ideas
Manage and grow a team of Social Media managers, evaluating performance and providing constructive feedback for improvements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Minimum 6 years of previous editorial or social media experience in sports news (workign in social media, sports design or journalism preferred)
Extensive knowledge and mastery of social channel mechanics, best practices, and building engagement (YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
Comprehensive understanding of Sports Betting, Daily Fantasy, iGaming and NFTs/web 3
Inspiring mindset to help teams perform at the best of their abilities
Demonstrated management of leading social marketing teams
Proven track record of effective and innovative work in the social media space
Critical thinking under pressure and proactive problem solving approach with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and an ability to map out social feeds that feel unique to each DraftKings product
