What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Estimator position at Drain Mechanics?
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Conduct site visits and gather necessary information to assess project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project budgets
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for various construction activities
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates
- Present cost estimates to clients and participate in negotiations as needed
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
