Responsibilities:
- Ensure plant equipment is operated in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct workplace exams and job hazard analysis/risk assessment.
- Identify and report any process related issues, adverse conditions, hazards, and/or concerns to the Control Room Operator or Production Shift Supervisor.
- Coordinate with the Control Room Operator with filling and profiling of the Limestone stockpiles.
- Ensure normal operation of the portal reclaimer.
- Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Perform daily/routine cleaning of chutes, silos, material transport systems, and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Ensure consistent and efficient material flow through each process line.
- Obtain silo and tank level measurements.
- Collect samples for lab analysis.
- Operate mobile equipment as directed by the Production Shift Supervisor.
- Assist Tower Attendant and the Production Utility Person.
- Always wear appropriate PPE specific to the task.
- Support safe and productive plant operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Flexible work schedule to include nights, weekends, and /or holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in cement or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Previous experience or knowledge of reclaimer.
- Understanding of cement operations, raw mill, finish mill, kiln, etc.
- Must possess strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
