Strategic Goals for a Software Engineering Manager
Guide team to solution designs/architecture which support Drake's business objectives
Perform Skill Assessments of Engineering Staff, make training recommendations and help engineers navigate career paths
Make recommendations for development equipment and technologies
Work with development budgets
Recruit, retain, coach, and develop a team of full-stack software engineers
You should possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
3 years’ experience as an engineering manager
Familiarity with project management frameworks
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to lead working group, brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
High level experience in enterprise level application development in C#, .NET, MVC, API Development, SQL, Bootstrap, JSON, AJAX.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
Work Location: Multiple Locations in Western North Carolina, Nashville, TN and Virginia Beach, VA #LI-Hybrid
