Senior Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:

Job Description

• Responsible for the practices and procedures to ensure the timely completion of accurate financial records, reports and statements.
• Preparation and review of bookkeeping projects for accuracy and reasonableness
• Preparation of complex payroll tax and other compliance reports as required
• Assist on identifying, developing, and training on technical accounting procedures and processes
• Oversee and assist clients with set-up of accounting software and systems as needed
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Sound understanding of accounting concepts and theory (including GAAP)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll transactions and payroll returns
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  
  

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Four to six years related Accounting experience
• Demonstrate ability to plan and organize projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe
• Proficient in QuickBooks software (online and desktop versions)
