POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist is directly responsible for the day to day administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- 1-3 years of human resource experience including a working knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and best practices
- Direct experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong time management, and problem solving skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Bamboo or other HRIS system is desired
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
- Serves as the point of contact for employment relations and handling of sensitive and confidential employee issues. Investigates complaints, accidents; reports findings and suggests course of action or resolution.
- Oversees the employment processes including recruitment, candidate screening, interviewing, pre-employment screening, and on-boarding. Facilitates and supports activities related to hiring and on-boarding contracted employees
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leaves, and employee recognition
- Maintains accurate and complete employee records. Ensures confidentiality of all employee files and information
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization
- Performs other related job duties as assigned
