Position Overview

In this role, you will lead the in-house experts to build reliable and maintainable DevOps systems to scale. You and your team will work closely with the product and analytics teams to define and implement the necessary infrastructure, services, and procedures to maintain an efficiently working set of reliable high availability systems.  You will work directly with product development teams to build developer tools to deliver software efficiently and with the highest level of quality.

What you will work on

Key aspects of this role include automation, configuration management, and tools development while collaborating with the development team on projects/products as experts on reliability, performance, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Eight plus years' experience as a software engineer or DevOps engineer designing, maintaining, and developing complex software, systems, and tools
  • Three plus years' experience leading software development teams
  • Proven experience delivering and deploying commercial software solutions in both on-prem and cloud environments
  • Strong capability to coordinate teams and projects, and bring things together
  • Expert knowledge in OS systems and scripting
  • Experience with containerization and virtualization (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • System upgrading/patching experience and tools (Ansible, and so on)
  • Experience with CI/CD and related tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab
  • Security experience/understanding in the cloud (a big plus)
  • Self-motivated, persuasive, collaborative, and technically curious

Physical Requirements

  • 70% Desk/phone work
  • 30% Standing/moving throughout the office
