Credit Card Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

The Credit Card Operations Specialist assists Treasury with the daily operations of growing and managing Hotel Credit Card portfolio. Responsibilities include, performing steps needed to obtain new Credit Card Merchant accounts (KYC and compliance), which will require knowledge regarding data chain (Processors, Gateways, etc), boarding of new accounts, managing date chain and implementation, maintenance of merchant accounts, ordering of credit card readers and equipment, trouble shooting and direct communication with ownership groups. Manage user access across the portfolio.  Will work closely with IT team for implementation of required hardware. Tracks all merchant applications and reports progress to executive group. Manages review of credit card activity to ensure receipts are properly being received and that chargebacks are followed up on and trends are identified. Works closely with other departments to address operational challenges as portfolio evolves.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study such as Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or Credit Card related experience is preferred.
• Must be detailed-oriented and accurate in a multitask-oriented, deadline mandated environment.
• Ability to communicate across departments (I.T., Finance and Operations)
• Ability to respond promptly to needs and solicit feedback to improve service.
• Ability to handle issues in a tactful and professional manner.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Must be able to implement job related policies and procedures.
• Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess good analytical and mathematical skills.
• Hotel experience preferred
