Reporting to a Senior Flavorist II, you will create within savory flavors, not just meat, and we prefer that you are comfortable with a broad array of flavor types common to food systems, including seasonings, sauces, yogurt, and dairy and different plant-based systems. You should also have a firm grasp of masking strategies and non-volatile taste systems.

• Use the Very Best of You: Create new flavors or modify existing formulations to meet project requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development for selected flavor types. Embrace creativity and new ideas. You will have complete ownership of created flavors.

• Collaborate and Mentor: Establish/maintain relationships with a broad number of internal partners in all departments. Coach, mentor and manage flavor assistants. Coordinate the participation of other technical functions to learn about all areas of the company (analytical chemistry, sensory, consumer understanding, regulatory, flavor delivery, manufacturing) Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S policies.

• Lead and Influence: Manage projects and provide flavors which meet all defined project needs, leading customer visits for flavor creation and product presentations at the customer. Be a technical expert to resolve flavor production issues and customer expectations.

You?

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related area
• Experience in a food applications lab, production or related area
• Completed flavorist training in an industry accepted program
• 7 years in the flavor industry
• 2 years operating independently as a creative flavorist
