Job Posting for Drug Testing Specialist at Drug & Alcohol Testing Compliance Services

Drug Testing Collector

What we need:

We are looking for a full-time Drug Testing Collector to add to our amazing team. Don't worry, previous hiring/experience is not required, we will teach you everything you need to know! If you enjoy working with people, are good with a computer, have great time management skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and work well with a team, this position is for you.

Who we are:

DATCS is a certified woman owned company, doing business for over 33 years that specializes in DOT compliance and facilitates workplace drug testing throughout the United States, quite simply, if it has to do with hiring & safety, we do it. Don't let that scare you, our goal is not just drug testing employees but to educate and improve work and school environments.

A day in the life of a Drug Testing Collector:

Working in drug testing is a whole new world and you will have the opportunity to learn all types of drug testing needs and you will become certified to collect all sorts of samples, such as urine, oral fluid (saliva), hair, nail, sweat, and breath alcohol. We also train you to collect DNA for paternity & ancestry along with learning how to order a criminal background check. We are not just stuck in the office every day; we go onsite to customer's facilities to perform tests. There is never a dull moment to get bored, some days you're testing at a school and other days you're at the courthouse drug testing for attorneys. It's really an awesome career and you get to work with an exceptional team who really believe that early intervention programs have a massive impact on reducing substance abuse and improving the safety and wellbeing of families, businesses, and schools.

On Call Rotation & Emergency After Hours Testing:

Each of our collectors must be on call, usually just 1 week out of the month, but you get paid really well to conduct an after-hours post-accident or reasonable suspension test. We pay you an on-call wage for just carrying the emergency phone home regardless of if a test was performed. If you get a call, we pay you $50 per hour, port to port, this means when you get a call at 2:00 am and complete the test and return home at 4:00 am, the pay will be 2 hours x $50 = $100. Not bad pay for getting out of bed! After-hours testing is extremely important to follow the accurate protocol because the person could have caused an accident, or the person being tested could be under the influence of a substance. Don't worry about being un-prepared because you will be fully trained to handle any situation and if you have a question, a team member is just a phone call away.

What education do you need:

We only require a high school diploma and 5 years of working experience in any field. We prefer some college or vocational education. Workplace drug testing is a unique field, and we provide all of the education and will be trained by an awesome team.

Work Schedule:

Our offices are open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday and the typical schedule is, 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. We are flexible for when family issues arise, we totally understand.

Application process:

If you think you have what it takes to do this job, the next step is to complete an application online. The application is pretty simple, it simply asks for your resume and to answer some questions to help us get to know you better. We should warn you though, if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process we will require two online assessment tests, Excel & Customer Service. The customer service assessment has no right or wrong answer, just answer with your first instinct. It's really a cool test and we will share the results with you.
