What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Business Analyst position at DS Smith?
Reporting to the Business Unit Head of Finance, the Commercial Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Commercial Excellence Program at the site. The purpose of the role is to provide analysis and insight to the site management team on commercial performance, support pricing decision making and will play a key role in business partnering with sales team members.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide financial support and insight to the site management team in support of new business opportunities and in defending and maintaining existing business.
· To co-ordinate the commercial input to tenders, pricing and costing processes, and indexation and prepare a financial summary to inform site new business decision making.
· To develop local site commercial reporting and provide monthly reports and insight to the site management team on commercial performance.
· To develop and provide commercial reports for the site sales team members and challenge and support the team in understanding their account performance.
· To develop and support the site commercial planning process and to include account planning, annual budgets and quarterly forecast processes.
· To help develop and provide support and governance to sites to ensure compliance with the North America Packaging cost model and costing guidelines, including the quarterly Navigator submissions to Packaging Division.
· To attend North America Packaging site Commercial regional meetings when required.
· To provide ad hoc and support to the site management team and sales team.
Job Criteria / Requirements
· 2 or 4 year degree in related field of study preferred
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in cost accounting, pricing, financial analysis preferred
· Preference will be given to candidates with experience in paper & corrugate manufacturing
· Preference will be given to candidates with experience in direct interactions with outside customers

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
