What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Designer position at dscout?
At the root of great products and great design is deep understanding. That’s where dscout comes in. Companies that care about experiences rely on our products, services, and expertise to make accessing human insight easily and broadly accessible. We are building a smart and driven team, and we would love for you to join us.
We are looking for a Brand Designer who is motivated by the challenge of collaborating with creative leadership and key partners to guide, craft, contribute, and maintain dscout’s ever growing brand design system. Your work will help connect and communicate with internal employees, prospective clients, and current customers through storytelling, compelling internal and external communications, plus digital and physical brand experiences. The opportunity for impact is grand, and we are looking for a candidate who is eager to make a difference.
What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):
- Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design for all dscout brand experiences
- Conduct conceptual exploration, establish design directions, and execute design solutions for a variety of internal and external initiatives
- Manage multiple projects, re-prioritize when necessary, and ensure they are delivered on time
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to freelance animators, designers, illustrators, and video producers to ensure a cohesive brand experience
- Work cross-functionally with our larger marketing team, product design, sales, and our agency partners to create work that aligns with dscout’s business goals
What you need to have (we can call them Desired Skills and Background):
- 2 years of experience as a brand designer (either agency and/or in-house)
- Experience working with common industry software (we’re a Mac-based org, use Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Miro, Trello, and the Google Workspace day to day, and have access to a host of additional tools)
- You are a conceptual and systems thinker. You understand when to innovate, but also when it is time to embrace the system constructs to deliver a great brand experience efficiently.
- You have sharp design fundamentals, obsess about the details, polish your work and constantly ask the question, “Is this how it should be?”
- Collaboration is important. You are a team player who can interact with all levels of the company, give and receive feedback all while demonstrating effective communication, both written and spoken
We do our best to write realistic, accurate job descriptions, but we also recognize that great talent comes in many forms and from many backgrounds. Not sure if you meet all of the above bullets? Please apply anyway!
