The main function of the engineering aide is to support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations.
Job Responsibilities:
Determine engineering requirements by conducting inspections. Provide the test and data analysis support and clearly communicate test data to the EMC Engineers. You’ll be responsible for working with the EMC team and other design teams to ensure all of the certification tests are performed and test data analyzed and that the EMC emissions and immunity performance meets the international standard requirements. You’ll resolve engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information, researching, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques. Recommend solutions and prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Meet cost standards by preparing cost-benefit analyses, and track and report expenses.

Experience Required:
- 2 year technical degree in electronics with experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing (Immunity and Emissions) of electrical and electrical systems of large equipment in the construction and mining equipment, automotive or aerospace industries
- 3 years of working knowledge with the following Electromagnetic Compatibility testing equipment: Amplifiers, signal generators, antennas, electrostatic discharge probes, bulk current injection clamps
- 1 year minimum experience with the Electronic Control Modules software and communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
Education Required:
- Associates degree in engineering technology or related field required and 5-7 years’ experience required
