The DSV WMS PM Consultant is responsible for successful management, facilitation, and high quality end delivery of Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations to DSV Solutions sites. The WMS PM Consultant is the key Business Change Management (BCM) team contact from project kick-off until project close, and ensures functional, technical, and business process expertise is delivered by the BCM team to WMS implementation projects.
Activities will be based out of one of the DSV Solutions clusters in the region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project management in accordance with the DSV Project Model and applicable methodologies governing the specification of allotted projects
- Responsibility to plan, manage, deploy, mitigate risks, and follow-up on assigned projects according to the defined methods (DSV Solutions NA and DSV Group PMO) including:
- Facilitation and management of project team members
- Participation in meetings with internal and external partners and customers
- Creation of timelines and resource plans to meet project requirements
- Managing and mitigating project risks
- Providing regular project status reporting to project stakeholders and project board members
- Managing an action and issue log and escalating issues when needed
- Ensuring timely availability of project documentation from initiation to completion
- Maintaining close cooperation to respective DSV functional teams in terms of change management and proactive business case planning
- Maintaining DSV internal project systems for tracking of BCM and DSV IT team members activity, hours, and cost
- Project closure and handover to Operations
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and customers
- Ensure successful completion of projects on time with high quality end delivery
- Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, process improvements, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combinations of education and work experience
- Extensive knowledge on warehouse processes and supporting system landscapes
- At least 5 years of experience managing JDA WMS (dispatcher preferred) or other major WMS product implementations
- Experience in managing EDI integrations with WMS products
- Experience in working on technical and fast paced project teams

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in working in a project based environment
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Readiness to travel – can be on short notice
OTHER
- Travel requirements up to 35%
- Able to travel domestically and internationally (including Europe)
