We are looking for a data-minded and energetic Business Analyst to join our Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) Data Analytics team. ITP Data Analytics serves as a critical tool for buy side and sell side clients alike, this product delivers a suite of powerful analytical services that enable broker/dealers and investment managers to measure and compare operational performance against that of counterparties and industry peers.
DTCC’s Institutional Trade Processing’s vision is to enable clients to reduce the number of touches in the post trade lifecycle and leverage consolidated exception and settlement management capabilities to drive settlement finality. With Data Analytics being a core part of the ITP Strategy and a key enabler of the target vision, you have an unique opportunity to contribute to its execution with data-driven insights.
The Data Analytics Business Analyst works as a big data analyst to translate business problems into analytical use cases with defined outcomes. At heart you are an analyst who loves to tackle client problems and discover creative methods to deliver success while remaining aligned the broader ITP organizational product strategy. You will ensure the Technology solutions available are able to meet the business goals and satisfy customer requirements. Your work will complement the efforts of the wider ITP organization and lead to a single accurate view of the trade lifecycle from execution to settlement.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
- Comprehending highly advanced and complex data, drawing insights, creating meaningful and consumable reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
- Learning and understanding trade processing operational concepts that present data values and the relationships between the data
- Analyzing and defining specifications for complex data systems including documenting requirements to build data-based algorithms
- Analyzing data in depth, using SQLs and other exploratory tools against various platforms such as big data, Oracle, SQL Server, and others
- Creating business facing tools, which aid in deep drilling analytics, predictive modeling, forecasting, and model building
- Participating in tactical planning discussions and developing strategically based features for business customers’ needs

Talents Needed For Success:
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications:
- 5 years Business Analysis/Solution Design/Software Development experience
- Knowledge of institutional trade processing (including Electronic Trade Confirmation, Matching, Straight Through Processing (STP), and current industry initiatives)
- Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, and/or Dashboard Experience
- Experience with Sell Side (Broker), Buy Side (IM), and Custodian middle-office post-trade processing
- Working knowledge of debt, equity and derivative securities and cross-border processing requirements a plus
- Experience with XML, JSON, and/or data modeling
- Experience in Agile/scrum methodology, including defining a minimal viable product, and exposure to other software development methodologies
- Proficiency in Jira and MS Office
