Testing Required :
Hybrid Role : Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.
Emergency Response : Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
This is a Temporary Employee role at the entry level that will be responsible for tasks and projects across any of the enterprise's business units within the Gas, Electric and LLC companies.
This role will support Gas Measurement & Controls within Gas Operations. May receive on-the-job training relevant to assigned department and business unit.
Tasks and assignments work will focus on one or more of the following : Assists technical team in the support and maintenance of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) gas control system, including for the monitoring and troubleshooting .
Participates in cross-functional teams to develop new or enhance existing measurement and control processes. Assists in testing and improving disaster recovery and cyber security plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Become oriented in the basics of the business unit and company
- Communicate through basic presentational and report writing skills
- Develop, revise and maintain Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations
- Collaborate through basic problem-solving skills as they relate to the industry
- Work with different team members and groups
- Work safely and adhere to all safety programs
- Supports gas control operations on technical issues with the SCADA system
- Creates, updates, and closes job related tickets in ticketing system
- Provides data from the operational technology system to the corporation
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
HS Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 6 months of experience in troubleshooting technical IT issues, ability to create project plans, facilitate and collaborate with various teams.
Knowledge of database platforms (e.g. SQL and Reporting or similar).
Other Qualifications
Preferred :
- Associates or bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Information Technology related discipline
- Experience in utility industry
