Key Responsibilities:
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback.
- Manage and lead team members to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React, Typescript, and JavaScript
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability using Webpack and other build tools.
- Implement and style user interfaces with SCSS, and 3rd party CSS Frameworks.
- Lead the migration of existing applications and develop, test, and deploy serverless applications on AWS using services like EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Ensure security of applications with JWT tokens.
- Write clean, maintainable code, following software development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Work with QA to develop test plans and build and maintain unit test suites using Jasmine, React Testing Library, Jest, or similar frameworks.
- Mentor and coach team members through regular one on ones.
- Champion a team focused, learning culture within your team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on front-end technologies.
- 3 years demonstratable experience leading a software development team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, and familiarity with build tools such as Webpack or similar.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
- Proficiency with CSS preprocessors and extension languages like Sass/SCSS.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of logging, error, and debugging best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with JWT tokens and front-end security best practices.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS) and serverless architecture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
Licenses Certifications: AWS Certifications a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or similar work experience
