Job Title Duet, Medical Support Manager (MSM) Hours Required 40 Job Description and Hours This position is responsible for assisting the areas out with a variety of medical documentation and other medical tasks that do not require a nurse. This position will be transporting those Duet supports to medical appointments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION 1. Responsible for assuring eMARS (electronic Medication Administration Records) are: Correct, unlocked and able to be utilized by Med Aides Completed accurately and in a timely manner Reconciled at the end of each month ensuring physical medication counts match what is present at the location. 2. Responsible for medical appointments and all related items, including but not limited to: Tracking all required appointments; assuring all are completed in required timeline Scheduling all routine, follow-up and unexpected medical, dental, vision and specialist appointments Transport to or arranging transportation to all medical, dental, vision and specialist appointments Put all appointments and subsequent follow ups into Therap Complete paperwork prior to and after each appointment with accuracy and updating Therap accordingly : 3. Build and maintain a network of local physicians, medical offices and generally the medical community. 4. Provide appropriate health updates to all stakeholders and members of the team. This includes: Training for Duet employees for any new medical documentation required and whenever the documentation required is changed. Training for Duet employees on medical procedures that have been delegated to the MSM by a nurse or that do not require a nurse delegation Assure that team members that are not a part of Duet are identified and kept up to date on health issues. 5. Complete Med Aide competency as required by Duet policy and procedure 6. Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis. Essential Experience, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: 1. A high school diploma or GED required. 2. CNA or degree in a related field preferred 3. Must maintain Med Aide certification 4. Ability to pass a criminal, APS/CPS and Medicaid exclusion background check. 5. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing 6. Ability independently, with and without close supervision 7. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPPA regulations 8. Must always possess a positive and professional attitude and represent Duet in a positive light. 9. Knowledge of software required by Duet and the State of Nebraska preferred. Software includes: Microsoft Office Therap Workday 10. A minimum of 1-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. OTHER JOB DUTIES: 1. Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Must be able to bend and stoop and sit for long periods of time. 2. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
