What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Duet?
Under direct supervision of the Coordinator, the Operations Manager is responsible for assuring quality delivery of community-based services through a hands-on approach. The Operations Manager will supervise the Direct Care professionals in the location assigned to them and be the main point of contact for guardians. The O.M. will be scheduled 40 hours as a staff person in the home or day program. The Operations Manager will assist with hiring employees, training them and providing oversight to ensure accountability. This position is an integral part of the team and will attend all ISP’s and relevant meetings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervision of DSPs. On average 3-6 for residential and 3-8 for day services.
2. Manage a caseload of people supported. 3-6 residentially, Up to 20 for day services.
3. Responsible for all aspects of supervising employees; hire, train, mentor and ensure accountability.
4. Responsible for ensuring that you and all employees within your chain of command complete all documentation and other requirements of regulations and policies.
5. Assure completion of required Fire and Tornado drills, water temperature checks and
management of finances and medication records as required.
6. Provide direct care while working alongside those you supervise.
7. Assure that the people you support are a part of their community, providing whatever supports are required for this to happen, including transporting.
8. Be the main contact for guardians and families.
9. Attend meetings for those on your caseload.
10. Be professional and positive in all interactions representing the agency.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma
2. A minimum of one year experience working in the field of DD preferred.
3. Management experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to pass a criminal background and Adult Protective/Child Protective Services check.
2. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
3. Must have a positive and professional attitude to be able to represent Duet.
4. Must have a current Driver’s license and insurance.
5. Comply with data integrity, security, and confidentiality policies.
6. Knowledge of Therap.
