POSITION TITLE: Electronic Technician
REPORTS TO: Ultrasonics Manufacturing Manager
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Electronic Technicians are responsible for the testing and analysis of all ultrasonic and plastics assembly equipment and systems.
Will support the Corporate Quality Policy and use TQM concepts, principles, and tools, and will make continuous improvements in work processes.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree in Electronics, or equivalent knowledge is a must.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly methods and tools is a must.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 5 years experience working with electronics.
- Experience with high voltage, high current products and systems is preferred.
- Mechanical and/or pneumatic systems experience is preferred.
- Systems level experience is preferred.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Understand the theory and applications of high voltage, high current products and systems.
- Read and understand technical prints and schematics, and other engineering and technical documentation.
- Analyze and troubleshoot products and systems at the system and component level.
- Communicate with others at all levels of the organization about the products and systems being tested. Must be able to communicate with product engineering on a technical level.
- Load and integrate software into finished products and systems.
- Identify problems, or potential problems, within the products or system being tested with minimal supervision.
- Operate all electrical and electronic test equipment (DVM, oscillator, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.) used during testing.
- Should be conscious of potential safety hazards and take corrective action when they arise.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform work in other job classification and miscellaneous duties as needed within the department.
- Perform work in other departments as needed.
- Support production activities by answering technical and mechanical questions.
