Summary:
Under general direction, the Project Manager will plan, execute and finalize projects involving complex work according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third party administrators and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and scope and oversee quality control throughout the project's life cycle.
Work Performed
Manage multiple projects involving complex regulations simultaneously.
In collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
Coordinate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources or business related field; Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Five years of Human Resources related experience, with a focus on benefits and retirement plans. Five years of direct work experience in project management including all aspects of process development and execution. Advanced familiarity with various software programs including database and operating systems experience (Access, Excel, SQL). Understanding of applicable federal and state regulations pertaining to the area of HR specialty.
Skills: Advanced familiarity with project management software and tools (Microsoft or SmartSheet)
Preferences:
Project Management experience or PMP certification/courses
Experience with defined contribution retirement plans
