Title: Sports Nutrition Assistant
Occupational Summary
This position reports to the Director of Sports Nutrition. This part time position (19.9 hours maximum per week, Benefits ineligible) will handle a wide variety of operational activities for the Sports Nutrition Department.
Essential Functions:
· Manage fueling stations which includes but is not limited to training and managing student interns, manage fueling station daily operations, food inventory, ordering and receiving.
· Develop educational materials (social media, flyers, TV, etc.)
· Assist with team meals and catering
· Assist with gameday nutrition support
· Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by the Sports Dietitians
Expectations and Skills:
· Fast learner and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
· Conduct themselves with the highest degree of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness.
· Ability to maintain HIPPA confidentiality and adhere to all department and university policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws, and interpretations of the ACC and the NCAA.
· Practice safe food handling skills
· Be able to lift, push, and pull objects up to 30lbs.
· Be reliable and dependable and accomplishing assigned tasks with a positive attitude.
· Ability to prioritize based on immediate need, to be flexible and possess the aptitude to shift focus quickly while remaining organized and tracking all tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nutrition or related field and minimum related experience of 1-2 years
Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate should be able to function independently of direction, enjoy working with people of different cultures and backgrounds, remain organized, have the capacity to seek out the guidance and assistance of other department members, and be willing to assist others to maintain the overall function of the Sports Nutrition Department.

Education
Work requires analytical, communication and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.
Experience
No experience required beyond bachelor's degree.
