What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance position at Dukes Memorial Hospital?
Under the administrative leadership of the CFO, is responsible for directing the overall finance and accounting functions for Dukes Memorial Hospital. Establishes and maintains the organization’s accounting principles, practices and procedures. Oversees financial functions to include network accounting, account analysis and financial reporting. Responsible for the preparation of a wide variety of financial and statistical reports and presents recommendations to top management. Supports the CFO in managing the accounting and economic aspects of the network by enforcing a financial strategy aimed toward the achievement of short and long term financial growth. Provides the oversight and support in the completion of financial assessments, budget planning, and risk assessments on business initiatives, providing project management support and oversight of designated initiatives in support of the goals.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of financial management experience; experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.
