WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Crisis Lead position is to provide in-person response during behavioral crises at the direction of the clinical team, as well as provide client engagement both in the home and in the community as a proactive strategy to prevent crises from occurring. Crisis leads work under the supervision of the Clinical Team, who will set their duties and schedules. This position has a non-traditional hourly work schedule, covering both weekend and swing shifts. Crisis leads must have driver’s licenses and current car insurance, as they will regularly be transporting supported individuals.
Qualifications
- Must possess a good driving record and provide proof of current driver's license and insurance.
- Demonstrated competency in basic knowledge of daily living skills, communication, community interaction and recreation.
- Ability to respond in person in a timely manner to behavioral crises as directed by clinical team.
- Follow established formal behavior support plans and guidelines for positive behavior support programs as outlined. Assist in developing positive behavior supports by providing feedback about individual's preferences.
MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A valid Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
NICE TO HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in psychology, special education, social work, rehabilitation or a related field highly preferred.
