Technician III, M&E

Polymerics Front End has openings for a machine operator job to support Delaware Polymerics Process at our Newark-Bellevue site.

Your key responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of production machines utilizing programmed local and logic control. 
• Operate independently under limited supervision to program and interact w/ equipment on a daily basis; utilize non-routine, moderately complex set-up and assembly.
• Responsible to off load and package intermediate and final products, as well as, waste. 
• Safety – Ensure safety guidelines/rules are strictly followed; verify that certain preventive measures are in place before operating; wear required PPE; utilize heightened awareness for process safety due to blades; conduct monthly safety
• audits; recognize safety concerns and escalate via processes; maintains a safe, clean work area and participates in SHINE (5S PROGRAM) program.
• Quality - Take ownership for quality of product; conduct frequent product quality testing; perform routine checks for roughness / thickness; utilize strong attention to detail to determine timing of when certain processes need to be handled, 
• while being cognizant of supply, demand, and temperature; respond to out of control points by either following established action plans for process disruptions or adjusting equipment as appropriate for equipment disruptions; provide 
• excellent internal and external customer service. 
• Handle operator identified preventive maintenance. 
• Handle first-line troubleshooting such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed

Qualifications:

Your qualification profile:

• High School diploma/graduation required
• Must have valid driver’s license to attain powered industrial truck certification
• Experience operating machinery in an industrial setting
• Good judgment, attention to detail, and manual dexterity are required
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Good communication, organizational, numerical, and analytical skills are required
• Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools are required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision is required; ability to take general direction and complete assignments/tasks
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated track record of problem solving using a fundamental approach is desirable
• Candidate must have the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Visa holder or Qualifying Asylee/Refugee)

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Ability to work in standing positions for prolonged periods of time
• Lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds, climb ladders/stairs and work on elevated platforms
• Work and travel throughout a plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity
• Bending, pushing and pulling required on a daily basis.
• Ability to wear personal protective devices
