Overall Purpose:
DLC is seeking candidates for the role of Regulatory Consumer Relations Associate. The role will a temporary flex-time position for up to 1 year and is part of the Regulatory Consumer Relations department.
Location: Hybrid, downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to research and resolve PUC complaints. Prepare reports for informal complaints.
- Formulates and advocates Company position, negotiates settlements.
- Reviews the company processes regarding interactions between customers and employees to ensure that all activity is within regulations and Company procedures.
- Communicates with PUC investigators and customers in order to negotiate complaints, satisfy inquiries and complaints, and provide required information.
Requirements:
- 1 year of customer service, government relations/external affairs experience required.
- Familiarity with PAPUC Regulations chapters 14 and 56 is strongly preferred.
Experience/Skills:
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, to research issues and communicate with all appropriate parties accurate and factual information.
- Excellent analytical ability to research, review and assess issues, as well as recommend and implement problem resolutions.
- Ability to work independently while keeping key stakeholders informed and appropriately involved.
- Must be highly regarded for integrity, flexibility, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
- Normal office environment.
- May spend long periods sitting.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard.
- Occasional travel within driving distance.

Scope:
Responsibilities are generally tactical and basic in nature; however, work may vary in type and complexity requiring the incumbent to be flexible to adjust to the given situation. Primary focus is on daily deliverables and outputs, while at the same time developing a knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed.

Data Governance:
Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities, and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
