This Role
Our collaborative Product Design team is seeking a Product Engineer located at our Turners Falls, MA production facility. This will be a full time (Mon-Fri), in-person role reporting to the corporate Director of Engineering.
What You Will Do
This Product Engineer will be responsible for product design support across multiple Duravent product lines. They will report remotely to the corporate engineering director (located in Michigan) and serve as an important liaison between the corporate engineering team and local production/engineering team. This role will be a great fit for an experienced candidate seeking the freedom to plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects from inception to completion.

This Role

This role will be a great fit for an experienced candidate seeking the freedom to plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects from inception to completion.
How You Will Do It
Serve as liaison between corporate product engineering and local/plant engineering teams
- Act as first line support for product fit/form/function questions
- Maintain awareness of production issues, explore product design changes that could improve/alleviate production issues
- Manage product creation and engineering changes (see below)
- Convert sketch and 2D concepts into 3D prints
- Partner with local engineering/production team to prepare and optimize (new or changed) products for fabrication
- Ensure accurate flow of BOM/bill of material information through ERP system (Oracle)
- Continually evaluate/redesign products for improved process, performance, quality and profitability
- Current work authorization in the U.S. without requiring future visa sponsorship (required)
- Bachelor’s level engineering degree strongly preferred, mechanical engineering ideal
- 2-3 years of previous engineering experience in a production setting (required)
- Experience with Solidworks or CREO preferred.
