Position Summary:
Manages the people and owns the process of effectively transferring required product information between the engineering and manufacturing functions; which insures high quality, timely and cost effective manufacture/availability of product. Manages flow of materials, parts and assemblies within manufacturing departments. Supervises personnel engaged in scheduling production operations and evaluating available resources.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- SAP competence to effectively lead the team who are subject matter experts in scheduling, creating routings, programming, and releasing production orders to manufacturing floor.
- Problem-solving shop floor issues and devising a plan to get issue resolved.
- Advises leadership of developments that may affect schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
- Review rate and quality of engineering releases to manufacturing, identify areas for improvement and implement remedial action.
- Review and manage nesting function to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap.
- Prepare analysis of current routing and programming systems.
- Provide input into employee relation matters.
- The position will work closely with the Plant Manager on matters of policy and procedure development. Day to day functions will be performed largely independently with very limited supervision.
- Position will be responsible for supervision of approximately 5 exempt and non-exempt office employees. Responsibilities will include hiring, discipline, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline
- Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP and other pertinent system and accounting software.
- 6 or more years Production Control/Production Engineering or related management experience in a related industry.
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision
