DXP Enterprises, Inc is looking for a Staff Accountant II to handle general accounting duties with focus on leases. This is an in-person position at the corporate office located at 5301 Hollister in in Northwest Houston, 77040. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of property leases, the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for close, and individually assigned projects. Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant II include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare rent payments according to lease agreements and invoices
- Post monthly journal entry to amortize lease accounts
- Review and analyze CAM reconciliations
- Maintain lease database
- Extract information from lease agreements and enter information into lease software
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed
- Research and address questions from management and the field
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant II include, but are not limited to:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Identifies and is proactive in addressing potential issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to engage others and collaborate on various projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
- Experience with leases contracts and ASC 842 a plus
- Experience with Profit 21 and Lease Query a plus
