Description
The Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing DynaFire's Jacksonville Branch in all aspects of inventory control and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy in stock management. This role involves meticulous handling of inventory, from purchasing to storage and distribution.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed inventory tracking systems to optimize stock control and ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders, ensuring timely dispatch to vendors and proper coordination.
- Receive goods from vendors, verify against purchase orders, and update inventory records in the accounting software.
- Conduct regular physical inventories and random stock checks to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Manage warehouse space efficiently, designing layout plans to optimize space utilization and ensure safe material storage.
- Process returns for defective equipment through preparation of Returned Materials Authorizations (RMA) and manage the receipt of replacements.
- Advise management on best practices for inventory control, stock management, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and monitor the quality and quantity of materials received.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for inventory and warehouse management.
- Provide regular reports to management on inventory status and warehouse operations.
Training and Certification Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, purchasing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all inventory and warehouse operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and any relevant inventory management software.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and transport companies.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively relay information to all stakeholders.
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, and handle materials, and occasionally travel for business needs.
