What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Dynamic Metals LLC?
Provide Human Resources services including recruiting, onboarding, out-processing, training, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and conflict resolution.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform recruiting: place ads, schedule/conduct interviews, record applicants by maintaining job files and the ATS, work with recruiters as needed, and ensure preemployment screenings are successfully completed for selected candidates.
- Manage the onboarding process: schedule and conduct new hire orientation, HRIS input, employee file creation, benefit enrollment, etc.
- Administer health and welfare plans: enrollments/terminations and COBRA entries, process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions, audit monthly invoices to ensure accurate billing and credits and submit audited bills to accounts payable.
- Prepare payroll: process vacation requests, benefit updates, new hires, terminations, time and attendance records, back-up labor reporting, garnishment and support orders, and personnel change notices.
- Assist with annual open enrollment: arrange for distribution of plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating changes to employees, arrange for onsite representation by providers, conduct employee presentations, and process changes within deadlines.
- Coordinate and assist with the ACA and ERISA benefits reporting requirements.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation: injury/illness reporting, coordinate with the MCO as needed, conduct accident investigation, maintain OSHA logs, and work with managers for light duty work and return to work program.
- Manage FMLA, military, bereavement, personal, and other leave of absence documentation.
- Assist management with appropriate documentation of employee coaching and disciplinary action, including termination. Serve as witness and/or liaison in meetings with employees.
- Work with HR Management to investigate and document properly any claims of inappropriate behavior and communicate responsible resolution.
- Serve on the Safety Committee, coordinate safety audits, document safety improvements, hazard corrections and safety bulletins, work with management to facilitate a safe workplace and OSHA compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files.
- Maintain employee job descriptions, employee training logs, OSHA logs, I-9s, resumes and applications, OFCCP Affirmative Action Plan logs and documentation when required and conduct periodic internal audits of these documents and program.
- Participate in internal audits, quality audits, and agency audits as appropriate.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- Detail oriented
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
- Critical Evaluation and analytical skills
- Human Resources expertise
- AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum three (2) years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
