The Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing Dynamo Capital's accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting the company’s strategic goals. This individual will manage the accounting team, implement best practices in financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Controller will work closely with senior management, providing financial insights to guide decision-making.
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with the CFO.
- Manage the preparation for audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and address any findings.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior management for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and other financial obligations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage).
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with tax compliance and working with auditors.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the financial services or investment industry is a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
