Position Summary:The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts of inventory in our manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities
- Cycle Counting: Perform daily cycle counts of inventory items in designated areas of the warehouse and production floor.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify inventory quantities, locations, and conditions against system records. Identify and investigate discrepancies and report findings to the Inventory Control Manager.
- Data Entry: Accurately record cycle count results and adjustments in the inventory management system.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies by working with relevant departments to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of cycle counts, adjustments, and investigations.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute inventory reports to management, highlighting any significant findings or trends.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving inventory accuracy and cycle counting processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing cycle counts. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless inventory management and operational efficiency.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or cycle counting in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
