What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Dynetics?
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Field Service Technician to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving radar systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The field service technician will perform maintenance/repairs/installation on systems deployed CONUS and OCONUS. While performing these duties the field service technician is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, climb ladders, and work in secured areas and military bases around globe. Work may also consist of high noise levels, heights, and confined spaces. Technician may also lift and move materials up to 60 pounds and more than 60 pounds using appropriate lifting equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- Skilled maintenance and repair technician. Prefer experience maintaining and repairing Bard air conditioners, as well as Kubota and Cummins generators.
- Experience troubleshooting systems and doing on the spot repairs with limited tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to integrate into a team atmosphere, as well able to work independently without clear direction. A self starter
- 5 years verifiable on the job experience relating to generators and or HVAC systems.
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time CONUS and OCONUS on short notice
