What You’ll Do
As the Loader, you will be responsible for the safe operation and care of process equipment in the loading of product for transportation. You will take routine outside readings as required simultaneously observing and inspecting process equipment for proper operation. Other duties will include:
- Prepare all necessary paperwork for Truck Drivers, Logistics, and Record Keeping requirements.
- Make entries to Operator Logbooks in the required format and communicate operating conditions to his/her relief.
- Cooperate and work with other plant operators as required during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
- Ensure that operating procedures are kept accurate and up-to-date.
- Participate in shift turnover with incoming crew members on process equipment status, fill out logbook, and receive instructions.
- Maintains good housekeeping in assigned area.
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving zero harm through behavioral based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
- Supports Business Improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of training certification and qualification requirements and satisfactory job performance.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical data; must have aptitude for mechanical principles and math.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights of over 150 feet.
- Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (such as safety glasses, FR Clothing, safety shoes, respirator, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), hard hat, hearing protection, and safety harness) as required by site specific requirements.
