Hybrid role - In office two days per week. This is an excellent career opportunity to join an award winning and very successful 4th generation independent insurance firm. We’re searching for a top performer to expand our commercial department. You must have the skill set to understand agency management systems and commercial markets. Epic a plus! Must have an expanded knowledge base regarding underwriting guidelines and the ability to plan, direct, and coordinate marketing programs. Determine the demand for products and services offered by our firm and its competitors and expand relationships with clients and prospects.

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
- Develop positive relationships with underwriters and carriers.
- Partner with commercial sales team to customize insurance programs to suit business clients and cover a variety of risks.
- Examine documents to determine the degree of risk factors and properly place those with excessive risks.
- Foster strong relationships with our clients to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
Requirements
- Currently possess a Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on business.
- Proven industry experience with a focus on underwriting and account management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
