The Account Manager is a positive and energetic relationship manager, and salesperson, that loves the automotive business. This role is directly responsible for working within defined territories and supports the field team in that territory. This person will spend time piecing auction deals together and calling customers. This role will build relationships in partnership with our outside sales teams to provide the highest level of service to customers. Our ideal candidate is based out of Burlington, VT for team gatherings, but this role is remote (or hybrid) so if you have the automotive and account management experience, we'd love to talk to you about it!
What You Will Do
- Build and grow customer relationships to secure customer loyalty and increase business
- Actively working the phones to increase awareness of our product with our current customer base
- Work in a team environment with your dedicated outside sales team.
- Quickly resolve customer issues by taking action independently or referring customer to appropriate manager
- Persuasively explains to customers how the company’s products and services can reduce customer’s costs and enhance their business
- Provides product training as required.
- Negotiate auction deals between buyer and seller (IF Bids)
- Keeps up to date with information about product and service innovations, changing needs of customers, market conditions and competitors and adjusts sales strategy accordingly
- Analyzes sales data and works with our Sales Operations team to identify opportunity
What You Will Need
- Effective self-motivation and self-starting skills with a focus on customer service
- Strong customer service skills and telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Organized with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Excellent administration skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to change quickly
- Able to follow instructions and work using your own initiative
- Two or more years’ experience in the automotive industry
- Auto Auction experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
