Position Description
This role requires you to support all company employees through deployments, application support, administration of Active Directory, maintaining IT inventory, and fulfilling support tickets. The ideal candidate is focused, organized, works well with others, and has a strong sense of urgency. Someone who takes the initiative and will be proactive in managing all levels of tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
- Work as part of a team to support users requesting technical assistance. Ensures all support calls are answered, logged, triaged, and resolved or promptly assigned to the appropriate resources.
- Maintain Active Directory and Exchange by adding and removing users, assigning groups, and updating user information.
- Troubleshooting deployed services and the integration of third-party networks and services.
- Help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure.
- Works on projects/systems/issues surrounding network and security planning, configuration, integration, and optimization.
- Support in the operational, strategic planning, and business continuity/disaster recovery solutions and assist in implementing security policies and services.
- Analyze events and alerts from security monitoring tools to investigate, contain and remediate security concerns.
- Write correspondence for recommendations, project support, and customer service purposes.
- Provide escalated tier support across the organization and interface with third-party vendors to communicate system capabilities and topology.
- Performs any other related projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems as well as supporting end-users.
- Ability to work productively as an individual contributor and collaboratively as a team member in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and customer-responsive environment.
- Capacity to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques from multiple related disciplines to implement solutions and resolve conflicts.
- Exceptionally well-organized and able to effectively analyze and resolve complex problems while prioritizing workload and act with increased independence in solving problems.
- Need to communicate technical information to non-technical users professionally and courteously with all levels of staff, both verbally and with written documentation.
- Windows Server 2012-2019 experience is recommended. Active Directory, Group Policy, Advanced TCP/IP & Network troubleshooting skills are a plus.
- O365 /Azure Administration, VMWare vCenter experience is a plus.
- Cisco Meraki Experience preferred but not required (any firewall/router experience is sufficient)
- Strong understanding of networking and information security concepts and fundamentals.
- The position is based in Long Island, but traveling to locations around the NY Metro area for preventative maintenance and support is required. (Vehicle mandatory).
- Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
- On-Call, overtime as needed.
