This includes curation of the products we offer, how those will be delivered, how they will be merchandised on the site, our qualifications for products and suppliers, pricing, procurement, and many others. As a small and dynamic team, you will be expected to think like a business owner. This includes strategizing on new opportunities, assisting in development of a clear merchandising strategy, improving merchandising and operational ways of working, and always have Member experience at the core of any decision. Every member of the Merchandising team needs to be both a high-level strategic thinker, and also an operator that can execute and is aware of the details and nuances that can require us to quickly go back to the drawing board.

    • Launch of branded products on a weekly / bi-weekly basis
    • Build out the process (including evaluation of) testing new products / evaluating our current assortment and determining what should be discontinued
    • Identify new suppliers across all of our assortment or ways of buying that will dramatically improve our product margin
    • Assist in AOV driving initiatives, partnering with marketing and operations to test and execute

You are:

  • Able to work with both high level strategic leaders as well as members of our team who are executing, picking and packing on a day-to-day basis. You are also able to prioritize requests between those two groups
  • A data-driven decision maker, but also have developed a strong gut for customer decision making
  • Strategic thinker who can execute and take their strategy back to the drawing board
  • A business leader who can move fast, learn fast, and get buy-in and build excitement from your cross-functional partners

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Consumer and/or start-up experience preferred
  • Comfortable moving very quickly and making decisions based on limited information
  • Operational experience preferred
